In this 2 minute video, I show how to use “conditional formatting” to highlight emails in your inbox from specified people, with specified topics or on any other search criteria of your choice.  You might not want the bright colour I have chosen for this demonstration!

Why would you want to make some emails stand out?

The main reason is that when you come to work in the morning or back from a break, it is important not to get sucked into reading emails of average importance that are not urgent when truly important work to do.  Conditional formatting allows you to highlight emails that are likely to be important and worth reading immediately.
