Managing moods at work

Master the moods that define your outlook and freedom to choose

Suitable for: All staff
Duration: Half-day workshop

Your situation

Does your team look weighed down by the work in front of them? Are they resentful. Anxious. Resigned. Restructuring, cutbacks, or personal setbacks left lingering resistance and pessimism.

Reflecting on your own experience, do you feel excited and open to the opportunities ahead, or powerless and under pressure?

Do you think it’s possible that your most basic experience of your situation could change?

So often, we take our moods as a given. We think moods are as uncontrollable as the weather.

The truth is that, with practice, we can see our moods as a posture or stance, and one that we can learn to change.

Our mood frames which actions are available to us. When we fall into attitudes of pessimism and resignation, our sense of agency diminishes. When we elevate our mood, our sense of possibilities opens up.

Even under pressure, we can be agents of positive change.

“We have more possibilities available in each moment than we realise” – Thich Nhat Hanh
